I Have 4 Large “Self Watering” Pots on Casters. Want to Grow 2 Tomatoes & 2 Raspberries. Never Grown Anything?
I am in an apartment now with a back yard, sunlight, water, etc, etc, but I can’t grow in the ground because my neighbor thinks he owns the universe and doesn’t want anything in the ground but GRASS.
I may go back to Ikea and get a few more pots but I have 4 to start with and I was thinking they were big enough for Tomatoes but I’m not sure how much room Raspberries need.
Would raspberries be able to grow in pots or should I go for something “Dwarf” like a dwarf blueberry?
I’m in ‘Zone 5′, Chicago, IL
Thanks for ANY advice you can provide… I’m a noob at growing anything because I grew up in AZ, where I only got Aloe to grow, and then lived downtown Chicago where my patio was basically a Wind Tunnel, destroying anything I tried to plant.
OH! And I have a HUGE bag of poppy seeds from a local Small Grocery that are said to grow in to beautiful flowers… I’m going to spread them all around my neighborhood. Do you think they will grow?
